Year End Send Off at Comiket and Gainax!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS TO ALL!!!

I am spending the end of the year in a very fun Place... Comiket and as a guest at Gainax's year end party!!

I am very honored that I was invited to Gainax Year End Party. This party is very famous, almost like an urban legend….you only know about this party only if you are a real INSIDER of the industry.

The rule of participating in this party is that YOU MUST WEAR A COSTUME! NO EXCETPIONS. IT IS A MANDATORY RULE.
It is so funny to have cosplay be the dress code of a party!!
Once inside The party looked like the cosplay area of Comike!!

HELP! I cannot move……so many people are here… Yes, I really feel like I am at Comike.

There were about 600 people at the party. They wore costumes and enjoyed cosplay, but…..what the heck!!?? I see a lot of famous celebrities from the Anime industry!!! I want to go see them and shake their hands!! This is fun, interesting and exciting!!!!
Did I enjoy myself –Yeah!!!! I took lots of pictures, too.

It is just a coincidence, but Mr. NAOKI is wearing a costume from Eva, too.
Well… you hardly see anyone choose this costume……Wow, good choice, Mr. NAOKI!! I am proud of you.

Though the party was fun, I could only spend two days of the weekend at Comike instead of 3 becoouse I had another job that weekend. Luckely I was able to get a number pictures with friends and other cosplayers. Enjoy!!

TECMO & Yunmao Ayakawa!

Hello Everyone & Holidays!!

I heard there was a big snow on the East Coast last week! Is everyone OK? I wish I could see the snow. We do not get as much snow as that in Tokyo.

As you know I have been very busy this year- Many of the projects will be public later in 2010 but one big project I worked on was something that was lots of fun.. playing Video games with TECMO!! http://www.tecmo.co.jp/product/vca/index.html
I did fun comparisons between Arcade console games and Wii video game formats with them. I got to play lots of video games and had lots of fun!! But I must admit.. Some games were a challenge... I must work hard!!! Please check out the coverage!!

STILL ALIVE... TO BE CONTINUED...!

Hello My American Friends! as mentioned in my last post 2009 has been so busy! I am not complaining except that it has been hard to post as often as I'd like.

I have so much to tell you about what I have been working on lately but sorry you must still wait to hear much of the good news. The big wigs are still in meetings determining my fate. EEEE Scary! But please stay tuned- I am working hard to keep you entertained and I'm still on a mission to keep Otakuism as widespread as love.

But I want to thank all the fans that have responded to my blog and were present at Anime Mid Atlantic in June. I had such a good time (As usual) but I was very happy to present my new Manga Project "Yu Yu Maid"! COMING SOON to the US!!! You will definitely be hearing more about that very soon!

I was also happy to see how many people came to my Maid Cafe Workshop! I hope you are studing your notes. There will be tests! HA HA HA! Well not really but I would love to see many of you attend the Nihon Maid Association. THis is a true sign that Maids are here to stay! Lets Unite!!

Well I know this is short but I must prepare for more good news coming very soon!

See me at Anime Mid Atlantic 2009!!

AAAAHH! 2009 is such a busy year for me! I have lots of new projects and I just finished moving ... Sigh...

But I have very good news!!! I will be a Guest of Honor at Anime Mid Atlantic! I am so happy to come back to America and see all my fans and friends that attend Anime Mid-Atlantic! I hear that this year Anime Mid-Atlantic will be at the Hampton Roads Convention center. I cannot wait to see the new venue. I know this year will be great!

I will once again judge the Cosplay Masquerade so come in your est costume... no slacking! Please vist my panel to let everyone know what I have been up to in Japan, my work with Otaku USA Magazine, the Nihon Maid Association and the introduction to a brand new project! I will also be conducting Cosplayer interviews for Otaku USA Magazine and news organizations in Japan.
Best of all I will will be Hosting my very first Nihon Maid Association Workshop in Amreica!! This is very exciting! In Japan I lecture and instruct up and coming Maids and Hostesses that will one day work in Japan's competitive Hostess and entertainment industry. It is a great honor to hold one of my session in the U.S. I hope to one day go to many conventions and hold this Workshop so please invite me. Busy! Busy! Busy! Cold! Cold! Cold!

I am sorry it has been a long time since I have said heloo to my American friends!!

I have been busy and I have been SICK!
I had a fun birthday, went to events, and of course celebrated a Brand New Year!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The new year has been good so far but before the New Year Winter came and it got really cold!!!!
It was so cold that I caught a bad cold. I lost my voice and felt miserable.
I hope all of you are well. You have to Keep washing your hands and gargle allot when you come home from work or playing. This is the best prevention against a cold.

Well now I am back and I will get you up to date in these next few weeks.

Well when we left I was talking about, my birthday. The party was great. Thank you for those who came to my party and to everyone who couldn’t come but wished me Happy Birthday and got me presents. I am so happy to have a lot of people to cerebrate my birthday.
The cooking party project went well this year; there were only minor mistakes, but all the dishes tasted good.

I also wore a maid outfit. Here is a picture of my friends Okaeri and Hiromi. I thought that Okaeri could not cook, but she is actually better cook than me. Sorry, Okaeri. I underestimated you.

We cooked Salad spaghetti, sushi rolls and more. I ate a lot and was stuffed. BUT do not enough to give up dessert. I can eat sweets even when I am full. YAY, cake!!!!

The cakes were so cute!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Cakes make me happy!!

This birthday made me realize that I have so many people who support me and I should not take it for granted. I will do my best to be big for those who support me. I love you all!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Hello Everyone.

My birthday is November 25 and I will have my second annual "Rock'Yun"Roll" Birthday Party for my fans in Japan! I wish one day I could have my birthday party in U.S. in the future, too.

So what's going to happen at my birthday party???
I will demonstrate how to cook Ota-meshi (Otaku meals). Everyone at the party will cook Ota-meshi and then eat!!! Bon apatite!!

I will do my best to cook delicious Ota-meshi for the party.

Tokyo Game Show

Wow, it is getting colder in Japan, but is everyone in the U.S. doing fine? Hope that you won't catch any colds this year. I've been busy working everyday, but I have time to have fun too.

Here is a picture from Tokyo Game Show 2008. It is a four-day event and gets bigger every year. I attended the show to interview cosplayers. Here is a link of Mainichi News Paper Mantan Web News.

Coplayers there were gorgeous. The show was held in October, so they seem to enjoy the great weather. Autumn is the best season for cosplay. I want to do cosplay too!!!!

I wanted to go there for a long time, but I did not have a chance.

There are so many things to do…. What is my favorite? Tower of Terror!! It was scary but I did enjoy it.

Yunmao Ayakawa and Cosmode magazine!

Hello Everyone

You may not know, but allong with Otaku USA magazine in the US I also write articles for Cosmode magazine in Japan.

Do you know about Cosmode. They feature lots of cosplayers and costumes!

Here is what I did for Cosmode magazine, issue 34, that was released on Oct 4.

I wrote an article and did some illustrations for "The Encyclopedia of Boy—Cute Bad Boys."

I dedicated myself to this issue as an OTAKU!! I really enjoy it.

Here are my illustrations. I cannot believe that I got a chance to introduce my illustrations. Yes….I am trully an Otaku…..

But, Oh no, don't take me wrong… I am not drawing boy' illustrations all the time… you know, I drew these illustrations since it was a job opportunity!!!

Really- You believe me, right?

I am sooo happy to draw these illustrations. I love bad boys!

Recently I got a job offer that will include my illustration and articles in a magazine. I have to improve my creativity. I will do my best!!! Ganbaru zo!

My vacation to Seattle, Washington- USA!

Hello, Everyone.

I was recently in Seattle with my family. It was a nice break for me and I was happy to spend time with my family in US.

So here it goes: My report on my vacation in Seattle.

Report 1 – Me with Jimmy Hendrix

I was thinking to do the same pose as him… but other tourist were staring at me, so I decided not to.

Report 2—My ride on a huge truck!

It was unbelievably huge. We don’t have this size of track in Japan so I was excited. I rode on this truck and enjoyed incredible views from it!

Report 3—A farm festival:
I went to a farm festival, but it was sooooo huge. It really was. There was horses, birds, rabbits… a cow contest, benders, amusement park… I needed more than one day to see everything.

In this picture I was at a cotton candy vendor. I love cotton candy but this is my first time to eat US cotton candy… uh... it tastes like Japanese cotton candy. The bottom picture is of a dessert, called an “Elephant ear.” It is like a pastry with cinnamon powder. They told me that this is very popular. It was Yummy. My sister ate a lot of it.

Report 4— And of course, when I am in America, I have to go to Hooters!!

This is a pic with a sexy Hooters’ girl!!. I love Hooters. You know, when I got to Akihabara, I got to go to a maid café. When I come to US, I have to go to Hooters. I do love their T-shirt and would like to wear it for cosplay… but sadly my boobies are small…

Report 5—Finally we got to meet Bruce Lee!!!
My dad has admired Bruce Lee since he was a middle school student. Yep, he made me watch Bruce Lee’s movies over and over again…So I am a big fan of him, too. We heard that his grave is in Seattle and decided to visit the location. Wow, my dad cried when he saw the grave. I understand how daddy feels. Dad, it was good for you to finally meet your idol.

Oh, just kidding, we have never had training before. I think he is laughing at us because we are just posing. I saw a lot of flowers there and visitors there. His life ended suddenly, but he left his legacy and has been loved by so many people. I pay my respect to him since, although his life was short, he engraved his legacy in people’s mind. I was glad to finally meet him.

Hello, Everyone

I was chosen to be a model for GoodLuck cosplay costumes. Many stores in Japan carry this clothing brand!
Since I own a lot of costumes from this company, I was so happy and excited when I found that I would be a model for the company.

During the photo shoots, I wore costumes which I wanted to wear and also my own costumes. I always enjoy photo shoots, but this time I must admit I was a bit tired- but still very happy!

By the way, isn’t this hair style is very cute?!

The hair and makeup artists are great! Every time work with them I am impressed with their skills and techniques. This is a picture that was taken in a make-up room. I like checking what kind of tools they have….. learning how to do hair and make-up is quite an experience.

Summer events: Model Search, Komike, Photo shoot!!

Hello!!!

Oh, no..August is over….
Did you have fun in summer?

It has been a very busy summer for me!! I have been to so many events and done so many activities!! I am sooo busy these days – I even had to apologize for not writing on my blog in Japan for a while. But I am back and I am happy to be writing for US and Japan now!!

Here are a few pictures of some recent events that I went to this summer. Some were in Japan but I went to a very special event In America in July too!! Enjoy!!

July 19: The Mid-Atlantic Cover Model Search For UjENA Swim wear in USA
TenBu called me in early July asking if I was available to come to the US. I thought it was for an Anime convention but they said no, it was different- Hmmm, what could it be?!

I was going to be a Celebrity Judge for a swim suit contest!! EEEEEEEE!!!

I was very Happy to come to the US but very nervous about the contest. I have judged Cosplay contests in America but this is the first time to judge a swimsuit contest!! >0<
But I like challenges so I said yes!!
I also went because the event was helping Susan Koman for the Cure Maryland! They are a nonprofit group that helps fight Brest Cancer!

As a bonus I also got to meet and hang out with the other celebrity Judge NATE QUARRY, a top fighter from the UFC!

THe event was exciting and I met so many people and had a lot of fun. I hope I can come back next year. If I do, please come and see me!

August 15-17: KOMIKE
Do you know “Komike”? It is a big anime-manga event in Japan.

I was there as a reporter and worked with Mantan-Web on the first and the second day.
I was supposed to be there on the third day, too. But I was so exhausted and decided not to go.

It was a cool day on the third day, so I guess that attendees felt good. But it rained very hard so people who stood in the line to get in may have gotten wet. I am a bit surprised about the weather since we have a
Komike-myth; “it is always sunny on the third say of Komike.”

Mmmm…I worked very hard at Komike and felt very content… !!!

August 23: Fan Photo Shoot
Here are pics from a Fan photo shooting event I did on August 23!!

In Japan Studios set up events for fans to take pictures of popular models and cosplay idols. This time I was chosen.
I had a lot of Fans come to see me and take pictures. Thank you all for coming to the event!

I wore a lot of costumes… And ate allot of food.

I just came home and I am soaking wet… It was raining so hard outside and I walked in the rain….the water was as high as my ankle….

Welcome to my new English language blog!!

I am very excited to finally do this blog and talk to you. You can still visit my homepage and get direct news about my major activities, but here we can have fun and get to know each other. I am very anxious to tell you more about me and to hear your comments. So please visit and post often.

I have been wondering how to start this new blog. I have been doing my blog in Japan for many years so I have so much to catch you up with so I'm sooo excited and don't know where to begin!! So I will be posting new events and updates but I will also be posting some favorite posts from my blog in Japan for the next few weeks that I think you will enjoy. This way you won’t miss anything!!

But because this is my first blog in English, I will start by sending a special note to all of my English speaking fans. It is small but I hope you like it.

After these first 2 posts I will start to post many things I have been doing recently. I have been doing allot of cool things over the summer that I know you will like!! Please check them out and leave me lots of comments.

I want to thank everyone for supporting me, for reading my articles in Otaku USA magazine, coming to see me at conventions, and visiting my new website!!! I am so happy that thousands and thousands of people have visited my site since it was posted just less than two months ago!!!

I also want to thank all the convention and event organizers and fans that have invited me to come! I have so much fun and like to see all my fans! I hope to visit all of you at anime cons again one day!! Please request me!!! I want to spread Otaku Culture all over the world!!
